1Take (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
Summary
1Take collects anonymous diagnostic data to improve app stability and user experience. All your audio recordings remain stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to any server.
Audio Recordings
All audio recordings you create with 1Take are:
- Stored locally on your device only
- Never uploaded to any server
- Accessible only to you
- Exportable via the Files app or Share Sheet
Data We Collect
1Take uses Firebase, a service provided by Google, to collect anonymous diagnostic data. This helps us improve app stability and understand how the app is used.
Crash Data (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the app crashes, we automatically collect:
- Device type and iOS version
- App version and build number
- Crash logs and stack traces
- Memory and disk usage at time of crash
Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We collect anonymous usage data including:
- App opens and session duration
- Feature usage patterns
- Device type and iOS version
- Anonymous device identifier (not linked to your identity)

What We Do NOT Collect
- Your audio recordings or any content you create

- Contacts or calendar data
- Data for advertising purposes
Tracking and Advertising
We do not track you for advertising purposes. 1Take:
- Does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Does not share data with advertisers
- Does not track you across other apps or websites
- Does not require App Tracking Transparency permission
Microphone Access
1Take requires microphone access to record audio. This permission is:
- Used solely for audio recording functionality
- Only active when you explicitly start a recording
- Controllable via iOS Settings at any time
Third-Party Services
1Take uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Crashlytics - Crash reporting and diagnostics
- Firebase Analytics - Anonymous usage analytics
These services are provided by Google. For more information, see Firebase Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
Crash and analytics data is retained by Firebase according to their standard retention policies. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you.
Data Deletion
You can delete your recordings at any time through the app’s Recordings tab. Uninstalling the app will remove all local data from your device.
Children’s Privacy
1Take does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The anonymous diagnostic data we collect is not linked to any individual user.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
